Embarking on the design process with the owners of this beautiful Victorian terraced house started with one idea, yet was completed as another.  

Our clients initially envisioned a large kitchen and dining room extension into the garden. However, after careful consideration, we realised that enhancing the existing layout was the smartest solution. By skilfully adapting the current structure, the L-shaped footprint has been opened up into a seamless kitchen and dining area, creating a room that feels both spacious and connected. 

The integrated banquette seating around a circular table has maximised the client’s entertaining space offering a view of the garden through the restored bay window. Nestled within the existing building is a sun-drenched patio with a charming serving hatch window to the kitchen, perfect for enjoying a drink in the sunshine.  The addition of a rooflight over the existing extension, floods the elegant kitchen with natural light.  The combination of these spaces has created a room that is perfect for our client’s everyday living and for gathering friends and family on special occasions.
